The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is a clinical doctoral degree that reflects the growth in the body of knowledge and expected responsibilities that a professional physical therapist must master to provide best practice to the consumer. All physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are obligated to engage in the continual acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities to advance the science of physical therapy and its role in the delivery of health care(As per APTA).

Admission Process for tDPT

  • All students intending to purse tDPT through University of Montana and Rehab Essentials have to go through IPTA for the discounted price
  • IPTA is the key partner and authorized by University of Montana and Rehab Essentials to screen all the tDPT applicants from India

Steps

  • Click on the Apply now button below and fill the IPTA-tDPT Intake form and submit it along with the required documentation. Once determined eligible by IPTA you will be sent a link and guided to fill the University of Montana application form.

  • WES Evaluation- Masters Equivalency certificate
  • Complete TOEFL (If needed, to be determined by IPTA)
  • Pay required fees to the university and IPTA (Costs reflected based on courses enrolled)
  • Accepted students will enroll in to university platform for classes

BPT to DPT : 30 Credit Hours Typical Duration : 7 Semesters, 28 Months
Accelerated BPT - DPT : 30 Credit Hours Typical Duration : 5 Semesters, 20 Months
MPT to DPT : 20 Credit Hours Typical Duration : 5 Semesters, 20 Months
Accelerated MPT - DPT : 20 Credit Hours Typical Duration : 3 Semesters, 12 Months

Course Delivery Format

Course delivery format is online. Each student will have their login and will be able to interact directly with the course instructor from University of Montana. Students will also have optional Mentorship to them. This program also allows students to work full time and take courses at their own pace to complete DPT. All students are required to complete Capstone project as a part of their Curriculum to graduate with DPT degree. University of Montana will assign students a mentor to complete the capstone project. Students will be able to complete their Capstone project from anywhere in the country. Students will have the privilege to interact with other students across the globe as art if global education platform at University of Montana. Each cohort class has a mix of students from different countries inclusion of USA to discuss clinical scenarios pertaining to cultural diversity.
